As many of you may know, I am a huge fan of The Wire, which has surpassed Sports Night as my favorite TV show of all time. This Sunday, season 2 comes to its climax - a moment I have been anticipating since early June when the season began.

Season 1 was simply outstanding. A complex, interwoven plot both propelled you forward to the edge of your seat - and also yanked you back to seemingly insignificant characters and plot points from weeks earlier. Much like the first few seasons of OZ, when small slights led to revenge seasons later (and before it simply got ridiculous) this is a show that actually requires you to pay attention - but rest assured, this is no effort. It is harder to look away than not.

Don't believe me? The Star Ledger agrees. So, there. If you've been watching, you clearly know the finale is Sunday. If you haven't, then don't start now. Wait until HBO replays the entire season. It will be worth your while.
